The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Guwahati, issued a 24-hour fog warning. According to the advisory:

  • Very dense fog is expected in isolated pockets of Assam and Meghalaya

  • Dense fog is likely in isolated areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura

The ongoing fog has also led to a noticeable dip in temperatures. The RMC reported that on Friday, Guwahati’s maximum temperature reached 20.4°C, while the minimum temperature was 14.2°C.

For the next 24 hours, the forecast predicts moderate to dense fog in the morning, with temperatures expected to range between 22°C and 14°C.
