Meghalaya Congress Announces Second List of Candidates for ADC Elections

The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has unveiled the second list of candidates for the upcoming Autonomous District Councils (ADC) elections, scheduled for February 21, 2025. This list includes 16 candidates, following a meticulous selection process. Of these, 11 candidates represent constituencies under the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), while the remaining 5 candidates are from the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC). Notable candidates from the KHADC constituencies include Victor Ranee for Jirang, Micky DAuglas Syiem for Umroi, and Lamborsing Nongrum for Nongkrem, among others. From the JHADC constituencies, key names include Bitos Sari for Mukhla Ummulong, Richard Singh Lyngdoh for Mynso Nongjngi, and Saron Pasweth for Jowai South. This announcement highlights the Congress Party’s commitment to dynamic and effective leadership for the people of Meghalaya. Previously, the Congress had already finalized 15 candidates from Khasi Hills and 11 candidates from Jaintia Hills, demonstrating their dedication to ensuring inclusive and development-oriented leadership in the upcoming elections.
