Union Minister Giriraj Singh strongly criticized Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, stating that a “traitor” cannot understand the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). His comments came in response to Gandhi’s recent statements made in Texas, USA, where Gandhi discussed the ideological differences between the Congress party and the RSS.
During an event at the University of Texas, Rahul Gandhi highlighted that the RSS believes in a singular idea of India, while the Congress embraces the idea of India being a “multiplicity of ideas.” He also accused the BJP and RSS of undermining the Indian Constitution during the recent Lok Sabha elections.
Giriraj Singh responded, suggesting that Rahul Gandhi should consult historical records or his grandmother’s experience to better understand the RSS. He added, “It will take many lifetimes for Rahul Gandhi to understand the RSS. A traitor who travels abroad to defame India cannot understand the soul of the RSS.”
BJP leader Amit Malviya also mocked Gandhi, referencing Congress leader Sam Pitroda’s praise for the Congress MP’s intellect, calling him a “strategic thinker.” Malviya sarcastically remarked that Gandhi’s “bloopers” have become legendary.
Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the US is part of a broader outreach initiative, involving interactions with the Indian community and lawmakers ahead of the US presidential election and the upcoming assembly elections in India.
